Patrick Kelly of Starship Children’s Hospital has conducted several studies of cases of infantile subdural hemorrhage in New Zealand where both accidental and non-accidental cases of subdural hemorrhage were examined. He also looked at outcomes of referral of cases to statutory authorities. New Zealand’s first conference on shaken baby syndrome was held in Auckland in March of 2006.
