The Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) has mandated training for all emergency medical responders in the recognition and prevention of shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma (SBS/AHT). Training courses to meet this mandate are currently available through the Kentucky EMS for Children.
