PURPLE Jurisdiction-wide Programs & Initiatives
 
ThePeriod of PURPLE Crying program has been implemented in over 800 hospitals and organizations in 49 U.S. states, eight Canadian provinces and one Territory in North America. Internationally, a large hospital organization in Australia and many of the U.S. military installations across the globe have chosen to use the PURPLE program.  
 
The Period of PURPLE Cryingprogram is serving as the primary SBS/AHT prevention and education resource to 80% or more of the births in North Carolina, Utah, Maine, Kansas, Iowa in the United States and British Columbia and the Yukon Territory in Canada. Several jurisdiction-wide initiatives have set the goal of reaching 80% of their births in the very near future. These states are Oklahoma, Washington, West Virginia, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon (grassroots), Connecticut and southwest Ontario.
