SBS Victims Stories
Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) is about education, prevention, creating awareness, and about helping the victims and families who are affected by this terrible form of abuse. NO child or family should have to endure what the thousands of victims and their families have to deal with each day. We must all join together in a unified front to spread the message about SBS and help protect the fragile lives of babies everywhere. The staff of the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome (NCSBS) is touched each day by the heartwrenching stories from families about what has happened to their child as a result of SBS. It doesn't take long to realize the importance of what we do at the NCSBS after you read some of the stories from these families and know that the harm their child suffered could have been prevented.
We hope that you will take a minute to read some of the "Heartstring Stories" about these small infants who's lives were tragically cut short or have to spend the rest of their lives living with a disability. These stories all tell of the importance of educating others about SBS so that future tragedies can be prevented.
